Periodontology and oral medicine
Periodontology or periodontics is the specialty of dentistry that studies supporting structures of teeth as well as diseases and conditions that affect them.
Manifestations of periodontal diseases vary but the most common ones are bleeding of the gums which mostly happens while brushing teeth, unpleasant breath and distinctive redness of gums which can become swollen and painful.
In our clinic we do procedures such as removing soft and hard deposits from teeth for 2 or 3 times a year. Also, in cases of advanced disease situations, we apply more progressive treatments but if it turns out that the condition is too severe, we implement oral surgery.
